Friends fear she has more to say about AI

Once again a thing is going around on Bluesky where someone is defending the use of AI to make art, and there's something in there that's stood out to me. The person describes the process of learning to paint as hazing.

So what the fuck is that about, hey, and let's talk about it.

American Idol started the year I started drama school. I was young and because I was young I was judgemental but still I think watching that show while learning how to perform in a professional context taught me a lot about how people view creative careers. It's coloured the way I view different career paths in these industries and for a time I felt guilty about that, but the age of AI is really validating a lot of it.

It's validating like at least two parts of it.
