Ok, look, I'm going to talk about Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez

Obviously it is obscene to be alive right now. Obscene to be writing a newsletter at all, but then it also feels obscene to be sitting safely in my flat with a cup of coffee and a snack.

A normal life feels obscene right now but we've got to live so sometimes it can be helpful to look at someone living even more obscenely than you. So, why not, let's talk about Jeff Bezos.

Jeff here has lived obscenely in so many ways. Amazon is obscene, obviously. It has contributed not only to the crowding out of small businesses but to the erosion of our own perception of reality. It taught us that things that have value should be available to us cheaply and I'll never forgive Jeff for that.
